Sarah is the creator of Squeak Dreams, a cosy guinea pig hub dedicated to happy, healthy piggies and the people who love them. Through her YouTube channel, now followed by over 100k subscribers, she shares trusted care advice, DIY cage inspiration and heart‑melting piggy moments that celebrate just how special guinea pigs really are.

Rik & Helen of HayPigs!

Helen and Rik Cridland are the husband-and-wife team behind HayPigs!, a multi‑award‑winning small animal enrichment brand known for its colourful Guinea Pig Circus toys and treats. They champion better welfare for guinea pigs through thoughtfully designed products, educational projects like the Guinea Pig Village at Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park, and high‑profile TV appearances on BBC’s Dragons’ Den and ITV’s Jimmy & Shivi’s Farmhouse Breakfast.

Fran is the creative force behind Instagram account @fransfloofs, where she documents the everyday antics of her iconic boar duo Paul and Lionel with playful, design-led cage enclosure shots, cosy cuddle moments and witty captions. Abi and Hannah are fraternal twin sisters, lifelong guinea pig guardians and the minds behind Instagram accounts @theguineamigos (Hannah) and @theguineacompadres (Abi), where they celebrate the charm and chaos of boar life with their much‑loved herds. When they’re not sharing beautifully photographed piggy moments and boar-care wisdom, Hannah works as an industrial emissions scientist and Abi as an electromagnetic scientist, channelling that same precision and dedication into over 20 years of guinea pig husbandry and advocacy.

Frequently asked questions

What’s included in the event tickets?

Event tickets include full access to both Piggy Fest and all general admission areas of Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park, allowing guests to enjoy the event alongside the park’s attractions and facilities throughout the day.

When will the festival start and finish?

Piggy Fest will begin when doors to the park open at 9.30am on Saturday morning. The festival will close at 4pm but Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park will remain open until 5pm.

What price will the tickets be?

Tickets will be priced at £25 for adults, £20 for children, students and disabled guests. Senior (over 60’s) are priced at £23.50 and free for under 2’s. A booking fee may also apply.

Who will be at the event?

The Piggy Fest - Guinea Pig Festival event will be open to all visitors with a park ticket for the day (including the general public and guinea pig super fans!).

Those with a Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park 'Wild Pass' membership can attend Piggy Fest for free.

What does Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park have to offer?

Visitors to Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park can explore over 100 different animal species and breeds, from rare-breed farmyard favourites to exotic residents like capybaras, crocodiles and polar bears. Families can hand‑feed some animals, enjoy daily talks and activities, and let little ones burn off energy in woodland walks and adventure play areas, all in a relaxed Suffolk countryside setting.

Will there be guinea pigs at the festival?

No, not real ones! As guinea pigs are pray animals and can be easily stressed by travel and loud, noisy environments, we made the decision to make this a guinea pig free event. That said, the resident piggies will in situ at the park's very own Guinea Pig Village. Here, you’ll be able to watch them in their purpose-built enclosure, where they can roam and explore in a large outdoor space or retreat to their snug indoor enclosure.

About the Guinea Pig Village

Is their car parking at the event?

Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park provides free on-site car parking for visitors. There is a dedicated car park close to the entrance, including spaces for disabled parking, making it convenient for those attending events or visiting the park.

Is there accommodation nearby?

Yes, Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park is located on the edge of Ipswich in Suffolk, so there are several hotels and Airbnbs in the area. For example, you’ll find Premier Inn Ipswich South hotel and Muthu Belstead Brook Hotel within 10 minutes drive of the venue.

Where is Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park?

Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park is in Wherstead, near Ipswich, Suffolk. Its address is Pannington Hall Lane, Wherstead, Suffolk, IP9 2AR.

Will food and drink be available at the event?

Yes. Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park will be providing all food and drink on site through its restaurants, food stalls and other catering outlets, so visitors can buy refreshments throughout the day.

Can I bring a picnic?

Yes, you are welcome to bring a picnic with you. There are lots of picnic benches and grass areas dotted around for you to sit and enjoy your lunch.

Are dogs welcome?

Yes, Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park is one of only two Wildlife Parks in the country where you can bring your dog! Just a note; they aren’t allowed in indoor areas such as the butterfly house and reptile house. But they are welcome in the Restaurant.

I'm under the age of 16, can I visit without an adult?

Sadly no, you can’t. All children under the age of 16 must be supervised by a full paying adult at all times.

I am a member at Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park, can I go to Piggy Fest for free?

Absolutely! Yes, if you've got a 'Wild Pass' membership you're free to attend Piggy Fest 2026! We can't wait to welcome you!

What happens if it rains?

The event will still go ahead if it rains, so please come prepared for the weather. If there are any significant changes affecting the schedule, we’ll share updates with ticket holders and on our event channels.

What happens if the event is cancelled?

In the unlikely event that the festival has to be cancelled, we will offer a rescheduled date and your ticket will be transferable to the new date. If you’re unable to attend the rescheduled event, you will be entitled to a full refund.

I have a ticket but can no longer go, can I get a refund?

Sadly, tickets are non-refundable but Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park do allow people to transfer to another date with 48 hours notice.

Who’s behind Piggy Fest?

Piggy Fest – Guinea Pig Festival is being organised by small animal enrichment brand HayPigs! (www.haypigs.com). HayPigs! co-founders Rik and Helen Cridland wanted to create a fun excuse to bring the guinea pig community together and celebrate all things guinea pig. So, by teaming up with their friends at Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park, they’re bringing this exciting new live event to life!

Rik and Helen are no strangers to the park, having previously helped redevelop its Guinea Pig Village. They’re now looking forward to welcoming you all to a fur-filled summer extravaganza!
