HELP & GUIDANCE

Mange Mites: Unseen Intruders
Picture tiny intruders, like microscopic invaders, causing your rabbit or guinea pig to itch incessantly. These mites discreetly burrow into the skin, resulting in hair loss, red patches, and also scabs. Be vigilant for signs of relentless scratching, especially around sensitive areas like the ears, legs, and also belly.

Flystrike: A Summertime Challenge
Large green blowflies strategically lay eggs on damp or soiled fur, particularly around the hindquarters. Once hatched, these eggs transform into maggots, inflicting painful wounds and also emitting an unpleasant odor. Summer becomes a critical time for this challenge, necessitating routine checks for maggots and also fly eggs around your pet’s rear.

Detecting Early Signs and Taking Swift Action:

Early Vigilance is Essential!
Regularly inspect your rabbit or guinea pig for indications of mites and also flystrike.

Prompt Veterinary Attention
Do not delay seeking professional help if you suspect any issues – timely intervention is vital.

Maintain a Hygienic Environment
Ensure your pet’s living space is consistently clean and also dry, fostering an environment free from parasites and flies.
