Silky Soft Hay is a good all round Hay. It is a very sweet smelling blend of Hays that small pets love to nibble and because it is super silky and soft it also makes comfortable and cosy bedding hay. If eye-poke is a concern, this is the perfect Hay for you.
Silky soft hay is a combination of Timothy, Rye Grass and Fescue - similar to our meadow hay! The thing that sets this silky soft apart is the grass has been cut earlier in the season before the strands are fully formed which gives it a soft touch and silky appearance.
This hay is a great part of a balanced diet for guinea pigs, rabbits and other small animals. It is also good for burrowing, hiding and playing in.

The Little Hay Company are based on their family farm in the heart of the Cotswolds. They have been borne out of frustration at the unreliable quality of hay that they used to feed their own animals, which they found was a complete lottery all due to the wonderful British weather!
After many visits to different hay producing countries and a lot of detailed research, the Little Hay Co. have adopted a new system that allows them to produce the same high standard of hay year in, year out, regardless of the weather conditions during that harvest.
Their Difference.
The Little Hay Co. mow the hay and ted it just like the existing traditional method. But instead of baling it in the field (open to the elements), they collect it loose within 24 hours of being cut and take it to their specially designed barn to finish the process under controlled, weather-proof conditions. Here it is much easier to achieve the magic 12% moisture content consistently. When they’re sure it’s ready, they take it out of the barn and bale it into packs to send to you.
