When we first adopted guinea pigs back in 2014, this was one of the first cage accessories they had. It has stood the test of time and we still use it now! Handy for floor time or to use outside in a run, this natural wood shelter and platform provides great cover for your small furries to hide under.
We find that the open sides are particularly effective. Our piggies will frequently use it as a waypoint to move about their environment, darting through it or lingering for a while to eat grass or take a break. Often, we’ll lean a grass mat up against it or droop fabric over the top to create a den.
Despite the platform appearing quite tall, some of our piggies do like to jump up onto it for a better view or to attract our attention when treats are incoming!
